Lights in London photo series

I went on a walk around London in January and I started to take pictures, because that's what I normally do. Back home I started to play with this picture and by turning down to brightness to a minimum, upping the contrast and making the pictures monochrome I achieved an effect I really liked. So I decided to pick all the pictures that had a lot of lights in it and manipulated them the same way to achieve the same effect. I call this series Lights in London.

I really liked the effect my manipulation had on the London Bridge. You can still see it's one of the monuments of London but at the same time it looks more interesting.
.
The Big Ben.
I really liked the effects it has on the water.
This is a small bridge in London that I discovered on my walk. The rain made the street look shiny and wet, which helps the character of the picture a lot.
Windows also produce an interesting effect from far away.
And the windows and water together look marvellous in my opinion.
The London Bridge from a very classic viewing angle.
This complex building at the Thames looks amazing with just the lights. I think that you could even evolve this series further by manipulating the light sources in the pictures and giving them different hues, such as pink, purple or blue.
